Special round steel is a circular cross-section steel material that is rolled above the recrystallization temperature after being heated at high temperatures. Due to its relatively simple production process, low cost, and good mechanical properties, it has become one of the most basic and commonly used steel varieties, known as the "grain of industry".
1、 Main use, as a raw material for deep processing (the role of "material")
This type of round steel is not the final product itself, but requires further processing to realize its value.
Forging Forming: As a raw material for forgings, complex shaped parts that can withstand heavy loads, such as engine crankshafts, connecting rods, gear blanks, high-pressure flanges, etc., are manufactured through forging processes. Forging can significantly improve the internal structure of steel and enhance its mechanical properties.
Mechanical processing: As raw materials for machining, they are processed into various precision parts such as shafts, pins, bolts, nuts, hydraulic rods, etc. through processes such as turning, milling, drilling, and grinding. This is one of the most widely used fields.
Cold drawn/cold-rolled raw materials: used as the base material for cold drawn round steel or cold-rolled round steel. After cold processing, the surface smoothness, dimensional accuracy, and strength of round steel will be greatly improved, making it suitable for manufacturing products with higher requirements for surface and accuracy.
